This 10 minute film chronicles a week in the life of four residents at The Cassel Hospital, where a strong culture of peer support means that ‘the patients become the treatment’.
The Cassel Hospital treats adults and young people who are struggling with emotional difficulties and complex trauma using a combination of psychoanalysis and community work. It is the Hospital of its kind funded by the NHS.
The film portrays how the therapeutic community model works and highlights the importance of relationships between the patients who relate to and impact one another.
