To sculpt a collection of oral histories into written words requires careful editing and interpretation. On the Record likes to keep the fluidity of voice in our writing, while ensuring people's spoken words translate to the page. We work hard to preserve the intent of individual speakers, as well as furnishing new insights about collective memory and history.
